Etta McCurry is a Senior Project Associate at Partners in Care Foundation, San Fernando, CA. Since earning her business college degree she began working in administrative positions in 1965 and has experience in both the corporate and non-profit worlds. In the corporate field she was promoted on a consistent basis and recognized for her contributions. In her first position in the non-profit field she effectively interacted with people of multiple cultures through world travel and meetings. She has extensive experience coordinating national conferences and meetings in various locations working with personnel at hotels and meeting locations. She currently oversees a project working with a healthcare plan to coordinate the implementation of Tai Chi and aerobics in sites in the county of Los Angeles. Etta currently manages the Geriatric Social Work Education Consortium (GSWEC) which provides geriatric internship opportunities for Masters of Social Work students at multiple agencies throughout southern California. She works with the Evidence-Based Leadership Council (EBLC) to coordinate the logistics for meetings, conference calls and webinars and provides follow-up as a result of these events.
She has also presented health related topics and assisted medical professionals with health screenings for older adults in Los Angeles, CA. She is trained in the Chronic Pain Self-Management Program to conduct workshops. She currently resides in Altadena, CA.
