Susan Snyder, MS

Executive Director, Evidence-Based Leadership Council

Ms. Snyder has worked in the field of aging for over 30 years and is currently Executive Director of the Evidence-Based Leadership Council (EBLC). The EBLC is a national collaborative of health innovation leaders who represent evidence-based programs and community-based organizations providing those programs. Prior to this, she was Director of Project Enhance, Senior Services, Seattle, Washington. She administered dissemination of two evidence-based programs, EnhanceFitness and EnhanceWellness, which have been disseminated to over 600 sites in 36 states. Ms. Snyder also managed the development and dissemination of an online data entry system for evidence-based programs.

She is a National Resource Center on LGBT Aging Trainer and was instrumental in coordinating and holding, with community partners, the first ever LGBT Elder Summits for the Puget Sound region. She currently sits on the Caring and Aging with Pride advisory committee as well as the City of Seattle LGBT Commission.

Ms. Snyder has seventeen years’ experience in providing evidence-based program training and presentations at regional and national conferences and meetings. She has also coauthored articles published in professional journals including The Journal of Applied Gerontology, Preventing Chronic Disease, Clinical Interventions on Aging and others.
