Most evidence-based programs offered by EBLC members use diverse staffing structures that engage both paid employees and volunteers.
Tips for successful staffing:
Provide a job description that clearly outlines responsibilities and ongoing requirements.
Recruit staff that meet the program's staffing requirements. If you have identified people who need more skills to meet program requirements, have a plan in place to train them.
Require staff to attend regular refresher courses.
Hold staff recognition events and/or provide incentives to the staff.
Stay engaged with staff, communicate often.
Provide opportunities for staff to offer feedback.
When possible, recruit staff from communities/cultures of program participants.
