EnhanceFitness is an ongoing, one-hour physical activity class designed for older adults at all levels of fitness. The program helps people become more active, energized, and empowered so they can lead independent lives.
EnhanceFitness is part of Project Enhance, started in 1997 at four senior centers and has now served more than 50,000 older adults at retirement communities, day health programs, meal sites, primary care clinics, Y’s, and community centers in 35 states. It includes cardiovascular, balance, posture, strength training and stretching exercises as well as opportunities for participants to connect and build a supportive community.
