Promote an active and enjoyable life style in older adults
Physical activity contributes to health and wellness in a variety of ways, physically and emotionally. Unfortunately, less than half of the older adults in the US take part in regular leisure-time physical activity.
The following EBLC member programs aim to increase not only the level of physical activity of participants, but also the enjoyment of physical activity.

Older adults with a wide range of abilities and conditions, in classes of 25 or less.
Ongoing, 3-1 hr classes/week
Older adults with osteoarthritis
3 times per week for 8 weeks. Each session lasts 90 minutes.
Frail, high-risk sedentary seniors living at home who participate in a care management program, need assistance with 2 to 4 activities of daily living and are able to follow directions.
In-home care management, adult day health care centers, senior housing sites, Meals on Wheels programs, health plans
One to two months
Community settings with a fathering space for the education and discussion portion of the workshop, and a safe space for walking.
Group format: 3 x / week for 6 weeks
Self-directed: Self-paced using Walk With Ease Workbook
