In an effort to make their self-management programs accessible to more people, the Self-Management Resource Center (formerly Stanfod Patient Education Reserach Center) and partners have translated a number of the CDSM programs into online, web-based workshops. These workshops are administered by the National Council on Aging. The chronic condition programs are referred to as Better Choices, Better Health®, which includes custom programs for diabetes, arthritis and cancer. The program for Caregivers is called Building Better Caregivers.

This online program helps the informal caregivers of people with traumatic brain injury, post traumatic stress disorder, dementia, or other diagnosed memory impairments. Participants have noted significant reductions in caregiver burden, depression, and stress. More info…
