The past decade has seen a dramatic shift from implementation of home-grown health promotion programs, to the implementation of proven evidence-based programs (EBPs). Limited resources, coupled with increasing demand for programs that improve quality of life, have created an ideal environment for widespread dissemination of EBPs.
