Nancy Wilson, MA, MSW

Assistant Director, Huffington Center on Aging, Baylor College of Medicine

Nancy is a gerontological social worker with almost four decades of professional work and leadership in advancing interdisciplinary models of integrated community-based service delivery to elders and families coping with chronic illness including depression, dementia and anxiety. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine-Section of Geriatrics and Assistant Director of the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine and is also affiliated with the Baylor-Veterans Affairs Center of Excellence in Health Services and local academic programs in nursing and social work. Through multiple positions at Baylor as well as chair of the Governing Council of Care for Elders, a community partnership of over 90 organizations, she has had responsibilities for strategic planning and program development in senior care and geriatrics. Most recently as the leader of an interdisciplinary academic-community team, she spearheaded the development of Healthy IDEAS, an award-winning evidence-based model program for depression in older adults, which has been replicated in over 75 communities in 21 states.
