Alexandra Cisneros 

Deputy Director, Tarrant County Area Agency on Aging

Alexandra has been with the United Way’s Area Agency on Aging since 2011. Currently, she oversees the finance and compliance department for the Older Americans Act federally funded programs through the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), as well as other federal programs including the Administration for Community Living grants and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Since coming to United Way of Tarrant County, she has been promoted twice, most recently to Deputy Director, Manager of Finance and Compliance. She has been instrumental in the business process restructuring of the Area Agency on Aging and grant administration. During Alex’s time with the Area Agency on Aging she has contributed in 6 funded grant proposals and plays a significant role in the implementation of these programs. 

Alex is a native of Mexico and moved to Houston in 1999. She completed her Accounting degree from the prestigious Internal Auditing Department at Louisiana State University. Prior to her current role, she worked for MHMRA of Harris County and the Center for Psychological Research in Baton Rouge as Business Office Coordinator and Business Manager. Over the last 5 years she has worked in the financial area and has experience in grants and fiscal management.
